Idea Cellular Is Never Stop Growing

Idea Cellular is the first multinational corporation in India. In the country, the Aditya Birla Group Company offers 2G and 3G services. And, in 2009. Axiata, a Malaysia based company, bought 19.96% stake in Idea.

In India, Idea Cellular must compete with some big mobile operators, such as Vodafone, Reliance Communications, Airtel, BSNL, Tata DoCoMo, Aircel and Uninor. However, on 19 May 2010, Idea successfully won the 3G spectrum auction in 11 circles. Because of that, the company got the right to launch 3G services in Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh with the Ahmedabad and Shimla Indore as the launch cities. Currently, Idea supports up to 21.1 Mbit/s with 256kbit/s of 2G speed. In urban areas, Idea also offers GPRS services to its subscribers. On November 2011, the company released a couple of 3G devices in the country, which as Idea 3G smartphone and Idea 3G smartphone with 2.2 Android Froyo.
